Casual
Pocket Village Days
★★★★☆ 3.9
Pocket Village Days is comfort food. You inherit a scruffy little plot of land and slowly turn it into a thriving village, one crop and cottage at a time. The pace is deliberately relaxed, with tasks that tick along even when you're not looking.
The charm is in the townsfolk. Each one has small requests and a bit of personality, and helping them out unlocks new corners of the map. It's the kind of loop that's easy to check on over morning coffee.
It leans casual and doesn't ask much of you, which is either its greatest strength or its ceiling depending on what you want. For me it's a pleasant palate cleanser between heavier games.
