Emberfall Oath

★★★★★ 4.7 Editor rating

Emberfall Oath is the mobile RPG I keep recommending to friends who think the genre died on phones. You build a party of four, each with distinct classes and personalities, and push through a fading kingdom where your choices actually shift how allies feel about you. Combat is turn-based on a grid, and positioning matters as much as raw stats.

What sells it is the writing. Companions argue, hold grudges, and occasionally leave if you push them too far. I lost a healer twenty hours in because of a decision I made early, and honestly the game was better for making me live with it.

Grinding is optional rather than mandatory, which I appreciated. Levels come naturally from following the main quests, and side content rewards curiosity instead of demanding it.
